Going from 15 euros per month to 5 euros per month is possible and it won't change anything for you. To do this, you have to arrive at the right time and find the right opportunity. For a few days now, the MVNO Prixtel has been allowing you to subscribe to a mobile plan with a 40 GB allowance + unlimited calls/texts/MMS for 4.99 euros per month. It's simply crazy!

What's even crazier is that this plan This low price is without a long-term commitment, and it is adjustable: this will prevent you from going over your plan since there are levels that allow you to go beyond the 40 GB limit set by this Le petit plan. For example, if you use 50 GB per month, it will cost you 6.99 euros per month (in total). The following month, if you fall back below 40 GB, the price of 4.99 euros is applied again.
A smart operator
While many operators try to sell colossal data packages to their customers, Prixtel tries to be as close as possible to each person's actual consumption. This Le Petit package keeps the budget reasonable – especially when you consider that the average French person uses less than 20 GB per month. Buying 100 or 200 GB per month is limited to a few thousand French people!
There's no point in taking a 100 or 200 GB plan when you only use 10 or 20% of it. It's therefore better to fall back on a more coherent mobile plan – like Le Petit from Prixtel. However, the latter also offers more substantial subscriptions – with packages between 120 and 350 GB per month. Unless you have truly exceptional data usage (4G/5G), this won't be of any use to you. Especially since you can very well use a classic Wi-Fi network for your important uses, and you're limited to daily mobile data usage.
Prixtel is an operator like any other, it is supervised by ARCEP and it also allows you to change operators in just a few clicks: if you are with another operator and want to take advantage of this cheap plan with Prixtel, you will need to obtain the RIO (a code that you get for free at 3179) which you will then have to enter on the Prixtel website, when registering. Everything is automated, you can then transfer your number and cancel your current contract without having to worry about a technical problem.
