One UI 7: We finally know when the update will arrive

While new Galaxy A models have just been announced, Samsung confirms the arrival of the stable version of One UI 7. This update, eagerly awaited by Galaxy users, will be deployed from April 2025. The overlay, based on Android 15, brings many visual changes and features such as a modernized interface, AI functions and the Now Bar. At present, One UI 7 is only available on the Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+ or S25 Ultra and the new Galaxy A56 and A36.

The majority Galaxy smartphone owners cannot yet benefit from One UI 7. A significant delay – Android 15 has been available since October 2024 – for the manufacturer which offers up to seven years of updates on its devices. In a press release, Samsung specifies that "the official One UI 7 update will be available from April". A relief for many users while the brand announces that it is extending its tests to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, Galaxy S23 and Tab S10.

This is the first time that the smartphone giant has given an official month for the deployment of its update. Until Now, rumors were concurring that One UI 7 would be released in March.

Is my Samsung smartphone eligible?

Samsung has still not published an official list of devices compatible with the Android 15 update. Thanks to brand policy, we can however draw up a list of devices that should receive One UI 7 (Android 15):
