For the first time since its launch, Pokémon TCG Pocket is releasing two mini-expansions in a row. Just one month after the launch of the Triumphant Light booster packs – which complemented the Space-Time Clash set dedicated to the Sinnoh region – the mobile app is already stepping up its game with a special Shiny Pokémon collection. Fans of the physical card game's Shining Fates and Fates of Paldea expansions will be delighted: the new Shining Delight booster packs for Pokémon TCG Pocket feature holographic and ultra-rare Shiny cards!
Very popular Pokémon and Trainers
The Shining Delight mini-expansion is shaping up to be the new must-have for TCG Pocket. Is it hard to stay loyal to Arceus when the new booster packs feature shiny versions of Charizard-ex, Lucario-ex, and adorable creatures like Pachirisu? Note, however, that only cards with a rarity of 3 diamonds and above will be chromatic. More common cards such as the Pushcha and the Pinspur, which can be seen in the trailer, will remain more classic.
Experienced players will also be able to enjoy trainer cards that already promise to turn the tide of games. TCG Pocket is finally getting its own version of the Mashynn card, a staple of the physical TCG, which offers a slightly different mechanic. Rather than shuffling players' hands to the bottom of the deck, they should be shuffled with the rest of the cards before drawing the same number of cards as the initial hand.
When can we open these booster packs?
The Radiant Rejoicing cards will be available starting Thursday, March 27th, at 7 AM (French time). As with previous expansions, you will need to update the app before launching it again. So remember to check the app's page on the Play Store or the App Store before you start. “Deck Start-ex” missions will be launched the next day, with the key being a “deck ticket” allowing you to permanently add 20 playing cards to your collection.
Friday, March 28th will also mark the launch of the first season of ranked matches. This will run until April 27th at 6:59 a.m. (French time), and will allow you to obtain an exclusive badge distributed according to the final ranking obtained. The Shiny Pokémon festivities will continue on April 1st with the release of new exclusive cosmetic items, such as a Shiny Charizard wallet. Also, remember that the release of new booster packs will make Triumphant Light cards eligible for trading. Enough to complete the previous collection with complete peace of mind.
