For a few weeks now, video game fans have been sharing their attention between Palworld and Helldivers 2, the two phenomena of the beginning of the year. But there is a candidate for game of the year that we did not expect. Infinite Craft arrives on the scene with an extremely simple, but devilishly addictive gameplay proposition. This management game is based on the principle of fusion in the manner of a God game. If you have not seen it yet, now is the time to test it.
Infinite Craft is a free game that can be found in its web version by typing its name on Google. It's that simple to become an all-powerful god, capable of creating a world from the four elements. So far, the title is no different from other games of the genre. Each fusion generates a new creation, which can be linked to another element to gradually form the basics of our existence.
Darth Gayder, dysfunctional family and 9/11
But the creator of the game, named Neal Agarwal, has integrated a twist. Infinite Craft is creating a resounding buzz thanks to its sociological scope. Through several very current references, the title manages to transcribe some principles of the “woke” culture but also a reality on certain subjects of society, linked to psychology, pop culture or even community memes.
As its name indicates, it is possible to create an infinite number of things in the game, sometimes giving birth to unexpected, but funny and very current fusions. This is the case of the work One Piece which is obtained from the elements Pirates of the Caribbean and Japan. We won't spoil other much funnier cases for you, because it's even better to create them yourself.
Since this is an online game, the discoveries of all users are shared. You therefore have the possibility of creating combinations that no one had thought of before you, and thus obtain the title of “first discovery”. The best part is that you can always create things that don't really exist to enrich the library.
It's obviously young people (from millennials to Gen Z) who have fallen in love with the game. It's now running on all livestream platforms, and a tournament has already been set up about ten days ago. Infinite Craft is the work of an isolated developer, so this enthusiasm has brought him a visibility that he didn't expect to face.
