For the first time since last March, Xbox is preparing to broadcast a live Partner Preview to highlight the games of its partner studios. The manufacturer invites us this Thursday, October 17 at 7 p.m. (French time) on YouTube and Twitch. The last presentation of this kind had notably allowed us to discover new information concerning Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and Unknown 9: Awakening. This type of conference can therefore house some nice surprises and is not to be neglected. This time, the Redmond firm has already guaranteed the presence of two massive franchises.
During this live of approximately 25 minutes, spectators will be able to learn more about the DLC The Lake House of Alan Wake 2 or even Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Soulslike fans will also be delighted to find WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, the dark-fantasy soulslike by the Chinese studio Leenzee. Since Microsoft doesn't usually reveal its biggest surprises before a Partner Preview, this means that the already confirmed presences will be accompanied by even more significant announcements. Based on the manufacturer's press release as well as some speculation, here is what the conference could well have in store for us.
Announcements in a chain, without useless information
Microsoft makes us very great promises. On the program for this live, spectators will be able to discover “new game announcements, release date reveals and new excerpts from upcoming titles” among the licenses of “major partners such as Remedy Entertainment, Sega, 505 Games and many more“. The Redmond firm does not hesitate to announce the color: there are “more than a dozen trailers“ that will be presented this Thursday. Since three of them have already been confirmed, there will be at least 9 other games at the Partner Preview.
Once again, the announcement of such a conference has awakened the last glimmers of hope in the hearts of fans of Hollow Knight. In June 2022, the Xbox Showcase made official the launch of Silksong in the next twelve months. Finally, the metroidvania has been delayed again and players are desperately waiting for news from Team Cherry. Now that the initial release window has been exceeded by more than a year, will the independent title finally make an appearance again? Hope springs eternal, but beware of disappointment. The poor enthusiasts have a habit of bringing out their clown gear after each absence from the game, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that this time will be different.
