Battlefield 6 is finally starting to show itself... but not officially. In the last few hours, several videos from alpha tests have leaked on social media. Enough to give you a first idea of the future big FPS from DICE.
A true return to the roots for the series with Battlefield 6
If we are to believe the shared images, Battlefield 6 seems determined to reconnect with what made it legendary: modern (but not too much) warfare, fast-paced, and above all, ultra-destructible. The sequences show environments that are completely demolishable. Buildings collapse under fire, explosions transform the terrain into total chaos. In short, the original Battlefield spirit is back, and it was a pleasure to see.
This choice to return to a contemporary conflict, after more experimental episodes, should delight long-time fans. Despite the massive circulation of these Battlefield 6 clips, neither EA nor DICE have yet officially reacted.
For now, the videos remain available on social media, but it is likely that they will disappear soon, as is often the case in this type of situation. These leaks come as several developers have recently complained about the difficulty in protecting their work, despite very strict confidentiality agreements.
A release planned by March 2026
EA has confirmed: Battlefield 6 will be released during its current fiscal year, between April 2025 and March 2026.
However, the publisher remains tight-lipped about the exact date. Many believe that EA is waiting to see when GTA 6 will be released to avoid being crushed by the competition. In the meantime, we already know that Battlefield 6 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A launch only on next-gen, therefore, to take full advantage of current technology.
While these first images are encouraging for Battlefield 6, it should be kept in mind that this is an alpha version.
The game is still in development, and many elements can evolve between now and release. But one thing is certain: this first glimpse rekindles enthusiasm around the license. After a highly criticized Battlefield 2042 episode, DICE seems determined to start again on solid foundations.
