About ten days ago, NVIDIA made its GeForce RTX 5060 Series trio official: the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB and 8 GB, as well as the RTX 5060, limited to 8 GB. The Ti models have been available since April 16. For the non-Ti version, NVIDIA simply mentioned a May release, without giving a specific date.
The site VideoCardz, logically well-informed when it comes to graphics cards, has come to fill in the blanks: the RTX 5060 will be released on May 19, the day before Computex. This date has not yet been publicly announced by NVIDIA, but it has already been communicated to its partners, according to our colleague.
No early testing
Unfortunately, still according to the source, this deadline concerns both the release of the cards and the lifting of the embargo on testing. In other words, if you plan to treat yourself to an RTX 5060 on the big day, you may have to pull out your credit card without having been able to consult the testers' opinions.
NVIDIA has of course offered some in-house benchmarks. Only they are necessarily flattering, boosted to the Multi Frame Generation, like those of the previous Blackwell GPUs.
A price based on that of the RTX 4060
That said, the characteristics of the RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 have been known for a while. You can therefore already estimate the performance of the latest model based on the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB. The classic RTX 5060 has slightly fewer cores and slightly lower frequencies. In terms of VRAM, there is no difference with the 8 GB version. Compared to the GeForce RTX 4060, the generational change still looks interesting on paper: more cores and faster GDDR7 memory for improved bandwidth.

Finally, NVIDIA has already announced the base price for the RTX 5060. It will be $299, the same as the RTX 4060 at launch. We can therefore expect models to start at €329 in France, with caution. Finally, note that we will normally have to wait until the beginning of June to see the Radeon RX 9060 XT try to play spoilsport against the GeForces.
