It's been a big trend in recent years, remasters are commonplace now, but sometimes it's for the best. This is a bit like what happened with Days Gone, which had a rather difficult first release since its entire technical side had serious problems. This is also largely why the game didn't shine as much as it should have. It's a shame since it has a lot to... offer: good characters, a gripping adventure, a rather successful open world and excellent survival sensations, especially in the face of impressive hordes of infected. In the absence of having the right to a Days Gone 2, however much requested by fans, the game from Bend Studio is therefore offering itself a new lease of life with its PS5 remaster. But who says new release also says new problems, a first patch has just seen the light of day. Yes, the studio is quite responsive.
Days Gone Remastered is getting an update on PS5
Don't worry, our Days Gone Remaster review is on its way, but we can tell you, it's pretty successful. Despite everything, there are still some issues, particularly regarding the import of PS4 data to the remastered PS5 version. However, this is one of the key features of this new edition since it allows you to carry over your save, your progress, and also your achievements. This way, players can pick up where they left off while enjoying the new features, including graphical improvements.
Patch notes 1.025.400 for Days Gone Remastered on PS5:
- Fixed an issue when importing PS4 saves that could cause instability
Nothing more, nothing less for this small hotfix that won't drastically change your experience, but should certainly save the day for several players. For the rest, we'll have to wait and see if the studio will fix a few small residual bugs. Fortunately as it stands, nothing very bad seems to tarnish the players' experience.
