Disney: Has the best of live-action finally arrived?

Since Disney began adapting its animated classics into live-action, we've been treated to some more or less successful reinterpretations. While the live-action versions of Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King were particularly popular, others like The Little Mermaid or more recently Snow White were commercial failures to the point that Disney recently made this big decision.

There are certain Disney animated classics that we would like to see screen like this little-known masterpiece from the studio with the big ears and of course Atlantis: The Lost Empire. The latter was recently entitled to a breathtaking trailer that slaps all the live-action films that have been released for over a decade and offers a faithful and grandiose adaptation of the original cartoon.

With this trailer we have such a satisfying result that we would forget that it was made by fans; it has nothing to envy from Hollywood blockbusters. When you see these images, it's impossible not to think that Disney should take inspiration from them and offer adaptations that are much more faithful to their animated classics and, above all, choose them better. We have everything that makes the original cartoon charming and epic in this trailer.

Of course, even if we share the desire to see what film this trailer could lead to, it's wishful thinking. Disney still owns the rights to the animated classic Atlantis: The Lost Empire and it's hard to imagine the Hollywood major giving them away so easily. Especially since the group has to face horror films inspired by some of his legendary characters that have passed into the public domain, such as Mickey Mouse.
