Fans were more than ready for the return of the Budokai Tenkaichi formula! In fact, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero broke records last year, showing how popular the franchise and the manga by the late Akira Toriyama still are. The craze doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. New content has indeed been announced for the coming months. However, the next DLC has just been leaked a little early.
A star character for the new DLC of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
Bandai Namco and Chunsoft have a big program in store for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero players. In fact, the new game in the franchise has been releasing new content for several months, and this is only the beginning. After highlighting the DBS Super Hero movie in a previous DLC, the next one will focus on the new event series: Dragon Ball Daima.
However, the announcement of DLC 2 for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero was not unanimous. The reason? The still frustrating absence of new cards and characters that are too uninteresting. This is not really the new leak, revealed by mistake by the reseller Humble Bundle, which will make the difference.
Indeed, several of the new faces on the roster are only the same variation of the same character, namely Vegeta. Although the character is very appreciated, more variety would have been welcome. Especially since, at the same time, fans show little enthusiasm for names like Pansie or Glorio:
- Glorio
- Goku (Mini) Super Saiyan
- Majin Koo
- Pansie
- Vegeta (Mini)
- Vegeta (Mini) Super Saiyan1 to 3
Basically, the Budokai Tenkaichi formula was able to seduce at the time with the richness of its roster. This fourth iteration, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, fits perfectly with this spirit by highlighting both secondary characters and super-powerful figures. However, for a paid DLC, even a Vegeta Mini Super Saiyan 3 is not enough to compensate for the lack of interest in other characters.
Now we have to see what these characters are worth in the game. Especially since with all that, Goku Mini should also receive a little facelift. The new DLC would grant him a technique variation changing his final move. All of this should be confirmed very quickly. In fact, the leak also reports that this first pack of characters from Daima should be available on April 24 for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. The next one will, a priori, be released by June 2025.
