According to the first rumors (which should still be taken with a grain of salt), the next opus of EA Sports FC (the 26th), should be announced next month, between May 20 and 27, 2025, via a first trailer. We owe this information to the specialized account AhcanFut, on Twitter/X.
Also according to this account, the release of EA Sports FC 26 is expected for August 23 in early access with the Ultimate Edition. The official release of the game is therefore expected for the following days, from August 26, 27, or 28. So an earlier release is expected this year, since the various EA Sports FC installments tended to arrive between mid- and late September. The bad news? This year again, we won't be getting a 100% next-gen game, since EA Sports FC 26 is reportedly coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and also PS4 and Xbox One. A Switch 2 version is also reportedly on the cards, but it's unclear whether it will arrive Day One or not. However, it should no longer be an Essential version as was the case with all the games on the first Switch.
Finally, the AhcanFut account specifies that Moments mode will be removed from Ultimate Team and that there should be no cross-play between consoles and PC versions of the game.
