Following the announcements at the beginning of the year at CES 2025, LG officially launches its new TV ranges for 2025. The OLED market leader for the twelfth consecutive year, the South Korean group is focusing on artificial intelligence (AI) with the LG OLED evo AI and LG QNED evo AI series. They promise an improved visual and user experience, with the first models now available for sale.
LG OLED evo AI: all about image and AI
True to its reputation, LG is highlighting its OLED technology with millions of self-emissive pixels capable of producing absolute blacks and high contrasts. The OLED evo 2025 range benefits from brightness-enhancing technologies for greater realism. The ultra-thin design is retained, allowing for discreet integration into any interior, whether free-standing or wall-mounted.
The flagship model, LG OLED evo G5, is certified "Absolute Black" and "Realistic Colors" by UL. It incorporates the new Brightness Booster Ultimate technology, announced as three times brighter than entry-level OLED models (B5 series), thanks to an optimized light emission and control structure. Powered by the α11 AI 4K Gen2 processor, specially designed for high-end OLED, the G5 optimizes image and sound, and supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for better cinematic immersion. Gamers are not forgotten, with VRR compatibility up to 4K 165 Hz (except on some references), an ultra-fast response time of 0.1 ms, and Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync certifications.
LG QNED evo AI: the premium MiniLED integrated into the AI ecosystem
The QNED evo range represents LG's premium LED/LCD offering, now integrating advanced features. Using MiniLED technology with precise backlight control powered by the α8 AI 4K Gen2 processor, these TVs deliver detailed, high-contrast images.
The QNED85A model is highlighted, benefiting from Dolby Vision compatibility (except for small sizes) and VRR up to 144Hz (varies depending on size) for video games. LG is also pushing the diagonals with the 100QNED86A, a 100-inch model. A major new feature is the LG QNED9M, the first QNED to integrate the Zero Connect box (previously reserved for OLED M), allowing 4K 144Hz wireless transmission between the box and the screen for a sleek installation.
Artificial intelligence, more than ever at the heart of the 2025 experience
AI is the common thread of this 2025 range. The new, slimmer AI Magic Remote has a central AI button providing quick access to smart functions, including voice search enhanced by a partnership with Microsoft Copilot.
The user experience via webOS 25 is ultra-personalized. Thanks to the AI Voice ID function, the TV recognizes the user's voice to automatically switch to their personal profile, displaying an interface and tailored content recommendations. AI processors also analyze the environment to optimize image and sound settings, and assistants allow you to create personalized modes.
In addition to its TVs, LG is launching the LG S20A soundbar. This compact 2.0-channel (50W) model integrates AI Sound Pro technology to optimize audio according to the content. The WOW Interface feature allows for easy control via the LG TV interface. It is available from April at a suggested retail price of 129 euros.
Price and availability
The first models of the LG OLED evo AI series (G5, C5) and LG QNED evo AI (QNED85) are available from April 1, 2025. Other models, including the M5, B5, QNED93, QNED9M series, and certain sizes of QNED82, will arrive soon or during April.
Prices vary considerably depending on the series and size, ranging from €649 for the 43-inch QNED82 to €27,999 for the impressive 97-inch OLED M5 with Zero Connect box. We have summarized the prices and availability dates in tables:
