Marvel: The Avengers are coming out in swimsuits for the summer, it's very hot

Last summer, DC stripped down its iconic superheroes, whose sexy bikini poses by the sea were enough to make more than one reader fantasize... This year, Marvel is imitating the competition by resurrecting a 30-year-old publication, the Marvel Swimsuit Special, which, as its name suggests, is a parade of Avengers in bikinis. Yes, it's very hot!

The long-awaited return of the Marvel Swimsuit Special

Between 1991 and 1995, Marvel readers found the Marvel Swimsuit Special every year, a special issue in which superheroes appear more naked as ever. The vigilantes took a well-deserved vacation there, in swimsuits and sunglasses, around a pool or in the turquoise waters of tropical seas. A true paradise, which the House of Ideas brings back to life after a thirty-year absence with Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1, scheduled for release in July 2025.

Tim Seeley, Tony Fleecs, and Nick Bradshaw will be writing and drawing the story contained in this issue, and will explain the context in which our Avengers meet to glamourize far, far away from the worries of their daily lives. Other artists such as Nic Klein, Marguerite Sauvage and Luciano Vecchio will sign the additional plates.

The Avengers are back (in bikinis)

We are far, far away from the horrible swimsuits that we sometimes find on the beaches (those are appalling), and the shapely bodies of Marvel superheroes have nothing to envy those of professional surfers. From Spider-Woman to From She-Hulk to Black Widow, the women of the House of Ideas are real pin-ups on this cover designed by Mark Brooks. And what about Peter Parker in Baywatch mode on the cover below, designed by Taurin Clarke? The spider-like boxer shorts speak for themselves!
