Among Marvel's most popular characters, the Hulk is undoubtedly at the top of the pile, alongside Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Wolverine. First appearing in 1962's The Incredible Hulk, Marvel's green giant has proven himself both in comics and in the MCU. And the future seems assured, as Marvel will soon introduce a new Hulk.
Miles Morales is in danger in the comics
While the MCU is moving at a size 36 pace, the comics continue to gallop by leaps and bounds. Marvel is continuing its series, with special crossovers in the run-up to Avengers: Doomsday, which will see Robert Downey Jr. return to the MCU, this time in the role of Doctor Doom. On paper, things are coming one after the other, especially for Miles Morales' Spider-Man.
Unfortunately for him, his current arc is titled "God War." A clash between the Gods in which Miles Morales finds himself in the middle, thanks to Anansi, the Spider-God. Anansi chose Miles to be his avatar, forcing him to bow to the challenges put forward by the other Gods. Ares challenged him, to the point that Thor and Hercules rush to his rescue. But unfortunately for Morales, the help of the Gods will not be enough.
A New Hulk Introduced by Marvel
Luckily, another Marvel character will strengthen its ranks, a new Hulk. Cody Ziglar, writer of the current Spider-Man series by Miles Morales, revealed via his Bluesky account that Morales' psychiatrist, Dr. Keisha Kwan, will become Hulk in issue #33.
Introducing Dr. Keisha Kwan aka Powerlift. She'll be making her debut in Miles Morales: Spider-Man 33! Co-created with my boy Federico Vinicinti. Interior artist Marco Renna has drawn the hell of her! This lady is about to be a PROBLEM. Hope folks enjoy what the team is cooking up!

"Meet Dr. Keisha Kwan, aka Powerlift. She'll be making her debut in Miles Morales: Spider-Man 33!" wrote Ziglar on Bluesky. The announcement comes with concept art and actual illustrations of Powerlift, revealing an angry character, ready to unleash her full power. And in reference to Hulk, the young woman makes her body grow and green veins appear that cross her skin, but also tear off her clothes when she transforms.
A key character in the sequel to Miles Morales: Spider-Man who even features on the cover of Miles Morales: Spider-Man #34. "MILES MORALES MEETS AN ALL-NEW HULK! THEOMACHY rages as MILES MORALES fights a losing battle against the ancient and overwhelming might of ARES, the GOD OF WAR, and his champions! But wait - Miles' newest recruit is a gamma-powered HULK!" teases the synopsis for this 34th episode.
As you can see, a new Hulk has appeared on the Marvel scene, and it's to come to Miles Morales' aid. It remains to be seen whether Powerlift's powers will be enough to rescue the unfortunate Spider-Man, trapped in a divine duel beyond his control. But as we know, with skirmishes between the gods, the fallout is never to be taken lightly. The answer lies in Miles Morales: Spider-Man #34, scheduled for release on June 25.
