Motorola Edge 60 and 60 Pro: AI for power and elegance

Motorola Edge 60 and 60 Pro: AI for power and elegance

In the Edge 60 series, Motorola presented the promising Edge 60 Fusion (which we are currently testing) and the brand is already back with two new models. The Motorola Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro are intended to be more premium, in the purest style of the Lenovo subsidiary: simple and elegant design, balanced performance and a hint of AI to enrich the user experience.

A simple design, now essential

The recipe is seriously starting to prove itself and the brand, which does not hide its ambitions, hopes in particular to attract the younger generations. The Motorola touch in this design, close to that of the Fusion model, which focuses on finesse and Pantone colors. The Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro benefit from an IP68/IP69 certification and drop resistance compliant with the MIL-STD-810H military standard. This range also stands out for its “quadri-curved” curves, meaning it offers a screen curved on all four sides. A rather rare format in 2025 on high-end models, which allows for very thin borders.

The Motorola Edge 60 pro is equipped with a 6.67-inch pOLED HDR10+ screen, described as the brightest ever designed by Motorola. It offers 1220p resolution and peak brightness of 4500 nits, with protection from Gorilla Glass 7i. The Edge 60 benefits from a similar screen and the colors on these screens are Pantone Validated and even Pantone SkinTone Validated for faithful rendering of skin tones.

Behind this elegance, Motorola opts for a powerful engine within the Edge 60 Pro: the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme engraved in 4 nm. This SoC promises to be comfortable in the most demanding tasks (gaming, video editing, streaming, etc.) and benefits from the presence of 12 GB of RAM, as well as 512 GB of storage. It is possible to expand the RAM up to 24 GB via RAM Boost, which can help with multitasking. The Motorola Edge 60, meanwhile, also features 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, with RAM Boost to double the RAM on the fly.

Moto AI: The discreet intelligent assistant gets better

At the heart of the Edge 60 series, Moto AI acts as a partner discreet, never in the foreground, but always there to enhance the experience. The manufacturer opts for relatively classic features like Debrief Me (provides a condensed and prioritized summary of notifications), Next Move (action suggestion based on the content displayed on the screen), Playlist Studio (soundtrack) and Image Studio (generate a realistic image or sticker from a prompt or sketch). In addition, the manufacturer relies on partnerships (Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot) and now integrates Perplexity.

An almost identical camera block

On the image side, the Motorola Edge 60 Pro offers the following configuration:

  • Main sensor (Sony LYTIA) of 50 Mpx
  • 50 Mpx Ultra Wide Angle
  • 10 Mpx Telephoto Lens with 3x Optical Zoom and Super Zoom up to 50x

A selfie camera completes the photo section on this model, whose rear sensors benefit from omnidirectional autofocus, optical stabilization, and onboard AI. Features like Group Photo, Action Shot, Ultra HDR, Signature, and Google Magic Editor are also present.

The Motorola Edge 60 takes the ingredients of the pro with its own photo system:

  • Main sensor (Sony LYTIA) of 50 Mpx
  • Ultra wide-angle of 50 Mpx
  • Telephoto of 10 Mpx with 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom

Here again, there is a 50 Mpx front camera and AI to improve image rendering. Both models also offer Dolby Atmos sound.

Finally, battery life could be one of the strong points of the Edge 60 series. The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery, awarded the DXOMARK Gold Label, compatible with 90W fast charging. 15W wireless charging is also present.

The Edge 60 has a more modest 5200 mAh battery, compatible with 68W TurboPower charging and 15W wireless charging. Both devices arrive with Android 15 and the manufacturer is content to announce three years of major updates and four years of security updates.

Price and availability

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro will be available mid-May at a price of 899 euros. Its little brother, the Motorola Edge 60, will be available at the same time, at a price of 479 euros.
