A few weeks after the Edge 60 Fusion, Motorola is completing its 2025 smartphone lineup with four new models: two foldable smartphones for the Razr range and two more traditional phones for the Edge range. The most important new feature is the Razr 60 Ultra, which is very attractive and, on paper, very powerful. They all come with two connected accessories. Here's a look at them all.
In 2024, among all our favorites of the year, there are two Motorola phones: the Razr 50 Ultra and the Edge 50 Ultra. The first is a foldable smartphone that Samsung could use as an example to create its Flip. And the second is, in our opinion, one of the best value for money under 1000 euros. And it even competes with phones sold for several hundred euros more.

Having found its niche and positioning, Motorola is gaining points with journalists and consumers alike. Building on this positive trend, the Lenovo subsidiary is unveiling six new products today. Four smartphones and two connected accessories to go with them. Among them, we obviously find the replacement for the Razr 50 Ultra, which is launching commercially... today (April 24, 2025).
The Razr 60 Ultra is a Razr 50 Ultra... only better!
This is obviously the Razr 60 Ultra, which largely follows the formula of its predecessor while improving a few important points. The hinge is now made of titanium and no longer stainless steel. The protective glass of the external screen is made of Gorilla Class Ceramic, Corning's latest creation. The IPx8 certification becomes IP48, including dust. The borders around the screen have been reduced to enlarge the display surface to 7 inches. The screen definition increases to 1.5K. The secondary screen is now LTPO.
And that's not all. The SoC is a Snapdragon 8 Elite with 16 GB of RAM. The telephoto lens is replaced by an ultra-wide-angle lens with autofocus for macro mode. The main camera sensor is larger, for better lossless zoom. The selfie module has been modernized. The battery increases to 4700 mAh with fast charging that goes up to 68 watts. A few elements remain unchanged. This is the case for the update policy, stuck at 3 years of Android version and 4 years of security patch.
The price is slightly increased: 1299 euros, or 100 euros more than in 2024. But it is justified. And it is still cheaper than the Galaxy Z Flip 6 with a similar configuration. And the case is still present in the box, unlike the charger which has disappeared. The Razr 60 Ultra will be the first smartphone of this new batch to arrive for testing on Phonandroid. "Stay Tuned"!
The Razr 60 is just a refreshed Razr 50
The Razr 60 Ultra is accompanied by its little brother, the "standard" Razr 60. This smartphone is less different from its predecessor, the Razr 50, although we do note some improvements. The titanium hinge of the "Ultra" version is also present here, as well as protection against water and dust (IP48). The protective mineral glass remains Victus. The two screens are more or less the same. The SoC is a MediaTek 7400X (compared to 7300X). It comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, like its predecessor.
The battery increases from 4200 to 4500 mAh. The 30-watt wired charging is still in effect. The camera setup is almost identical, with a 50 MP main sensor, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 32 MP selfie sensor. It comes with Android 15, still with 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches. Its price hasn't changed either: 899 euros, with a free case in the box (but no charger). This phone will be released in May and will be sold exclusively on the Motorola website.
The Edge 60 range also continues to be renewed
The other two phones presented today are the Edge 60 Pro (replacing the Edge 50 Pro) and the classic Edge 60 (not a successor to the Edge 50 Ultra yet...). They come alongside the Edge 60 Fusion that we tested previously. These two phones are very classic and share many features. Curved screen on all four sides. 6.67-inch pOLED 1220p and 120 Hz panel. IP69 certification. Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Triple camera module on the back, including a Lytia 700C sensor from Sony. 50 MP selfie sensor on the front. 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage in both cases.
Among the differences, you have the processor (Dimensity 8300 Extreme on one side and Dimensity 7300 on the other), the battery capacity (6000 mAh and 5200 mAh), the charging power (90 watts and 68 watts), the microSD compatibility for the classic Edge 60 and some attributes in the photo. The price is also different: 479 euros and 699 euros. That's prices fairly close to those of 2024. The release of these two phones is expected in May 2025.
Motorola expands its ecosystem with headphones and a smartwatch
Let's finish with the two accessories: a smartwatch and open headphones. The first is called Moto Watch Fit. It is Motorola's first smartwatch. Its design is rectangular. Its case is made of aluminum. Its screen measures 1.9 inches. It is covered with Gorilla Glass 3. Its nylon strap is 22 mm wide. It has a real GPS. It is IP68 and 5ATM certified. It manages sleep tracking and around a hundred sports activities. It runs on a proprietary OS. According to Motorola, it offers 16 days of battery life. And it costs 99 euros.
The second accessory is called Moto Buds Loop. These are TWS earbuds similar to Huawei's FreeClip. Each earbud features a 12mm driver optimized by Bose and two microphones for voice isolation during phone calls. The brand promises 8 hours of battery life for the earbuds alone and 38 hours with the charging case. They are compatible with Smart Connect, Lenovo's communication system, to make switching between devices easier. And they come in two versions: a classic one at 149 euros and a premium one, created with Swarovski, which adds crystals to the earphones. This edition will be available at 299 euros. The release is scheduled for June.
