Series fans can breathe easy. Netflix Standard with ads remains included in the Freebox Ultra and Delta offers. After the announcement of a price increase for the platform with the red N, content aggregators are making their publicity stunt, just to inform Internet users of their fate. Canal+ has already announced a partial increase to absorb the new pricing, all eyes were now on Free.
No increase on Standard with ads
As expected, the company has started informing its subscribers. Good news for those who have subscribed to the Freebox Ultra and Delta offers, nothing is changing on the Standard with ads plan. The price has gone from €5.99/month to €7.99/month, but the operator has chosen to bear the additional cost alone. As a snub to the competition, a wave of emails sent to customers announces: “We are pleased to inform you that despite the increase in Netflix prices, nothing changes for you! Free has decided to continue to include the Netflix Standard plan with ads in your Freebox Ultra offer at no extra cost.“
Some will have to pay
You will have understood, if you had opted For the Standard option with ads via your Freebox Delta or Ultra offer, nothing changes. You will continue to have access to two screens simultaneously, in Full HD, with ad breaks. For others, however, not everything is so rosy. The Standard plan without ads will now be available for an additional 9 euros per month, compared to 7.50 euros previously. Finally, the Premium plan, which offers resolution up to 4K HDR and four simultaneous screens, will increase from 14 euros to 16 euros per month. The company, however, continues to apply a discount of 5.99 euros. on Netflix's public prices (€14.99 for Standard, €21.99 for Premium).
Good news though, the Netflix price increase has been postponed until August at Free. So, a few more months of respite for Ultra subscribers.

- Standard without ads: +€1.50, for an option of €9 (instead of €7.50) per month – Public price 14.99€
