Netflix, which will spend a veritable fortune in 2025, is once again increasing the price of its subscriptions for the first time since October 2023. From the ad-supported plan to the Premium commitment, the streaming platform is sparing no one. And as you will see below, it's not by a few cents...
Streaming, an increasingly expensive service
Everything is increasing, my good lady. From the SNCF, whose fares have exploded in recent years, to food shopping, to entertainment, nothing is accessible to our purses, themselves increasingly empty. Daily life has become unaffordable, and Netflix's recent announcement will dissuade more than one from continuing their subscription. Indeed, the platform is increasing its prices in France, between 1.50 and 2 euros for each plan. Concretely, this means that the plan with ads goes from 5.99 euros/month to 7.99 euros/month, the standard plan goes from 13.49 euros/month to 14.99 euros/month, and the Premium plan goes from 19.99 euros/month to 21.99 euros/month. Last October, Disney+ also increased the price of its subscriptions. No one is safe!
Netflix: Outraged subscribers
Unsurprisingly, this announcement was very poorly received by Internet users. Subscribers to the streaming platform are ready to permanently cancel their subscriptions and return to a practice that the democratization of affordable streaming had almost abandoned: piracy.
€8/month for a subscription that should be free because it's funded by advertising. I don't understand why this kind of practice isn't prohibited in 2025.

They like to screw users at Netflix, but there's no one left when it comes to paying taxes.
€7.99 was the price of the standard subscription without ads 3 years ago

They're just encouraging illegal streaming and telegram links there

Concerned about the success of its competitors, all much cheaper, Netflix is considerably increasing its prices in France AGAIN. €7.99 for the right to eat ads (+€2). €14.99 for the standard offer. €21.99 for the premium pigeon offer. €21.99! pic.twitter.com/ueot0PkPK0

And you, what do you think? Are you going to cancel your Netflix subscription?
