Perhaps this is the famous "AI device" that manufacturers have been circling around for several years, without finding the solution (remember the flops of the Ai Pin or the Rabbit R1). A new unofficial application for ChatGPT has emerged for iPhones that are too old to accommodate the OpenAI app - or that are having difficulty go online with Safari.
AI to give old iPhones a second life
With ChatGPT for Legacy iOS, even an iPhone 3GS that doesn't go beyond iOS 6.1.6 can be transformed into an AI device! Enough to make you want to take it out of the drawer where it's been gathering dust for years. The developers have done a good job with an interface inspired by iOS 7, which posed the basics of flat design (some like it, others will always miss the skeuomorphism of previous generations).
They also promise "impressive" fluidity in the interface and animations, while offering all of ChatGPT's features: conversation history in a sliding panel, support for uploading photos, contextual memory... The application can therefore be installed on iPhone 3GS, but also iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, on the iPhone 6 and even that good old iPod touch.
The only difficulty Unfortunately, this application is not distributed in the App Store. You will first need to jailbreak your smartphone, then install the app "by hand." Jailbreak solutions exist for these older versions of iOS, but you have to be a bit of a tinkerer. The software also requires a key. API that can be obtain on the OpenAI website.
