Numenia, the audio adventure that helps teens reconnect to themselves

Numenia, the audio adventure that helps teens reconnect to themselves

The goal? To offer an immersive, captivating, and introspective experience... to be enjoyed directly on your smartphone, but differently. Behind this project is Maëlle Chassard, co-founder of Lunii (known for Ma Fabrique à Histoires) and a pioneer in children's audio. With Numenia, she continues her mission: to make listening a space for personal exploration, far from digital channel hopping.

A story in which they are the heroes

Numenia is not a simple audio fiction, it is an adventure in three seasons, 90 episodes, 17 hours of listening, but above all an interactive narrative. The young listener becomes the protagonist of a story that adapts to their choices. At each stage, they trace their own path, meet characters (from Loki to Morgana to Sherlock Holmes), and shape the outcome of their story.

And not just for fun, since in the background, strong themes such as self-confidence, identity, curiosity, the ability to make choices. Numenia wants to help teens get to know themselves better, listen to themselves... and take a break from the tumult of notifications.

However, there is no question of demonizing the smartphone, but of offering another use. The mobile app that will host Numenia will be disconnected: no ads, no scrolling, just a fluid immersion in a world of sound.

To go further, the team has even planned digital usage tips integrated into the experience, and compatibility with the FLAM portable player from Lunii, for those who prefer a dedicated device.

An Ulule campaign to bring the universe to life

Launched on March 24, the Ulule funding campaign runs until April 18. With the goal just reached, Lunii will be able to finalize the production of this great audio adventure (episodes, illustrations, app), and make it accessible to as many people as possible. Participants will be entitled to exclusive content, early access, and even a private group to follow the behind-the-scenes of the project.

Basically, Numenia doesn't just tell a story, it's a counter-narrative. Faced with Grisaille (the name given to digital apathy in the series), young people are invited to reinvent the world, to bring out other narratives. An approach that is at once poetic, committed, and profoundly current.
