Good news for customization fans: Good Lock is finally coming to all Galaxy devices. But behind this global launch, a few surprises and minor issues could complicate its adoption. Here's everything you need to know.
Samsung regularly offers exclusive tools to improve the customization of its smartphones. Among them, Good Lock is one of the most popular, allowing Galaxy users to deeply modify the appearance and behavior of their device. Until now reserved for certain countries, this service is finally becoming accessible to everyone thanks to its arrival on the Play Store.
The global release of Good Lock coincides with the deployment of the One UI 7 update. From now on, users can find the application directly on the Play Store or via the Galaxy Store depending on their device. The new version introduces a refreshed interface with a clearer main page, separating extensions and gestures into small interactive bubbles. Samsung announced this change in January, and it comes to fruition today with extended compatibility.
Good Lock arrives on the Play Store with a redesign and even more powerful modules
On the new interface, users discover a redesigned home page with a colorful banner displaying the slogan “Your Galaxy Your Way”. Below this visual, a list of plug-ins is available, allowing you to add additional features like Home Up to customize the home screen. The “You” tab has also been redesigned with sections for favorites and current settings.
At the same time, some modules like Nice Shot have received new updates, allowing you, for example, to share your settings via Galaxy To Share and Dropship. This dynamic shows that Samsung continues to strengthen the Good Lock ecosystem with regular new features.
However, everything is not perfect yet. Some users are having trouble installing Good Lock on recent models like the Galaxy Fold 6, despite its announced compatibility. The Galaxy S24 running One UI 7 seems to better support the new version. These small bugs could be fixed quickly, but they are a reminder that the app's global rollout is still in its testing phase. Despite everything, this opening to the wider public marks an important step for Samsung in its advanced customization strategy.
