This weekend, the 13th and final episode of Season 2 of the Solo Leveling anime adaptation aired. The Jeju Island raid is officially over, with the ants defeated and the human race surviving. However, the losses were considerable on the Japanese hunters' side. The very end of the episode was not lacking to tease the sequel, we return to this important scene for the rest of the work.
Sillad and Rakan, the two mysterious characters from the end of the last episode of season 2 of Solo Leveling
Solo Leveling will undoubtedly have a season 3, even if the continuation of the anime adaptation is not planned for a long time. The first two seasons were worked on consecutively, allowing their episodes to follow one another without too much delay. For season 3, we'll have to wait, as J.C. Staff will have to start from scratch, or almost. We imagine season 3 will arrive in 2023, the wait will be long, and resisting the urge to read the manhwa may be difficult. Especially since to close its season 2, Solo Leveling introduces two new characters, dangerous entities who speak the language of monsters.
One has a human appearance, the other that of an ice elf. After a few seconds of dialogue, the two creatures leave the place, claiming not to have found what they came looking for. And to leave here, no helicopter flight or wyvern, simply the creation of two portals. One is similar to the blue portals that hunters close as part of their job, the other a teleportation door to the new aspect.
Those who have read the manhwa know that these two characters are none other than Sillad, Monarch of Frost and king of the snow people, while the other is Rakan, Monarch of Fangs and king of beasts. Monarchs, just like Sung Jin-woo, whose goal is to destroy Humanity, no less. While the two creatures seem to In search of Jin-woo, they leave the island without having found him, before the camera shares with us the presence on the scene of Sung Il-Hwan, his father, still on the run after his confrontation with Dongsoo Hwang.
Solo Leveling will not fail to share more of Jin-woo's adventures with us in season 3, starting with the beginnings of his guild. This will be followed by new epics, including a particularly juicy arc that readers of the manhwa are impatiently waiting to see adapted to the screen.
