This Monday, March 31, 2025, at Cinema Con in Las Vegas, Sony Pictures was present to present the sequel to Spider-Man: No Way Home and to reveal the official title of this new opus.
Tom Holland announces the title of Spider-Man 4 since the filming of The Odyssey
Cinema Con is a trade show where studios present the first images of the blockbusters awaited by fans. The fourth installment of Peter Parker's adventures at the cinema has been made official by Marvel Studios and Spider-Man 4, which will once again be played by Tom Holland, is already one of the cinema events of the summer of 2026. Even if the actor was not present in Las Vegas, the interpreter of Spider-Man shared the first information about the next film of the license in a video since the filming of The Odyssey, the next production by Christopher Nolan. Tom Holland has therefore revealed the official title of the sequel to No Way Home:
I know No Way Home ended with a huge cliffhanger, so Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. That's exactly it. That's all I can say for now.
The title of Spider-Man 4, which recalls this comic book
So, Spider-Man 4 is officially titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. And this title will definitely speak to all fans of the comics of the saga The Amazing Spider-Man. In 2008, the comic Brand New Day was published, which is the sequel to One More Day, whose conclusion is very similar to that of No Way Home.
In the comic, Spider-Man's secret identity is forgotten by everyone. Harry Osborn lives in Europe. Peter Parker works at the Daily Bugle as a photographer and lives with Aunt May. His colleague Robbie Robertson asks him to photograph Spider-Man and a new superhero, Jackpot, appears. Will this character be played by Sadie Sink, the star of Stranger Things who has been officially confirmed as part of the cast of this feature film?
Meanwhile, Tom Holland had declared last year that he was satisfied with what the writers had done for this new Spider-Man, highlighting their "great job".
Produced by Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige, Spider-Man 4 will not be directed by Jon Watts, who directed the three previous installments. He will be replaced by Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
The release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for July 29, 2026 in our theaters, a little over two months after Avengers: Doomsday directed by the Russos, in which Tom Holland's Spider-Man will not appear.
