The first season of Ahsoka had generally won over fans of the Star Wars universe. A powerful series, notably thanks to its central heroine, much appreciated by fans of George Lucas's universe, the series Ahsoka has been renewed for a second season. During the Star Wars Celebration panel, we received some news regarding this second season. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau visited the event and revealed a short teaser for this second season to the fans in attendance. It was an opportunity to see some familiar faces again. Here are the 13 characters currently expected in season 2 of Ahsoka, scheduled for release in 2026 on Disney+:
13) Ahsoka Tano
It's obvious, obvious, but Ahsoka Tano will obviously make her return in this season 2. Introduced in 2008 in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars by George Lucas, Ahsoka Tano is first introduced as the new Padawane of Anakin Skywalker. Quickly, the character gains importance, and becomes a central heroine of the series The Clone Wars. It was then necessary to wait for season 2 of The Mandalorian, in 2020, to see Ahsoka Tano arrive for the first time in live action. She is played for the occasion by Rosario Dawson, who then took over the role for The Book of Boba Fett and for Ahsoka.
12) Ezra Bridger
The young Ezra Bridger has grown up a lot since the animated series Star Wars: Rebels. Hero of the series by Simon Kinberg and Dave Filoni, Ezra Bridger makes his first live-action appearance in the series Ahsoka. The show allows us to develop the trajectory of this cult character, and to offer a logical and exciting continuity to the conclusion of Rebels. For the occasion, Eman Esfandi will reprise her role.
11) Sabine Wren
Also very present in Star Wars: Rebels, Sabine Wren also has a big importance in the story of Ahsoka. Very close to Ezra, she was ready to do anything, even to ally herself with the enemy, to find the trace of her long-time friend. An impactful, ambiguous character, a strong woman, Natasha Liu Bordizzo will also reprise her role.
10) Chopper
The entire crew of the Ghost will definitely be making a full comeback. The mischievous and hilarious little droid, barely present in the first season of Ahsoka, should be back in season 2 of the Star Wars series. This second season of Ahsoka seems to be a continuation of Star Wars: Rebels, and seems to want to bring together all the characters from the animated series, to the delight of fans.
9) Hera Syndulla
It is also in this logic that General Hera Syndulla will join the party. Played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead (the wife of Ewan McGregor), Hera Syndulla is one of the flagship heroines of the Star Wars universe. An outstanding pilot, she was in charge of directing the Ghost. Very little present in the first season of Ahsoka, we hope that she will play a more prominent role in the second season.
8) Garazeb "Zeb" Orrellios
He was also part of the Ghost crew before the members of the latter disbanded at the end of Star Wars: Rebels. Absent from the first season of Ahsoka, we can nevertheless meet Zeb for a cameo in season 3 of The Mandalorian. This is the first time that the character appeared in live action. We can't wait to see him reunite with his old friends.
7) Admiral Ackbar
During Star Wars Celebration, Dave Filoni confirmed to the audience that Admiral Ackbar would return in season 2 of Ahsoka. Indeed, he will face Admiral Thrawn who is finally returning from his forced exile. A fairly recurring confrontation in the various Star Wars Legends novels.
6) Grand Admiral Thrawn
Speaking of Thrawn, the famous villain will obviously play a major role in season 2 of Ahsoka. Already a cult villain, notably thanks to the Star Wars: Rebels series, Ashoka was the opportunity to present the character in the flesh for the first time, still played by Lars Mikkelsen, who already voiced the character in the animated series.
5) Captain Enoch
He is Thrawn's right arm. Captain Enoch will return in season 2 of Ahsoka. We still know practically nothing about this character, but his design, his gold-plated helmet, and his wickedness make him a solid and intriguing antagonist.
4) Huyang
Already present in the first season of Ahsoka, Huyang, the droid voiced by David Tennant, will continue to provide assistance to Ahsoka and Sabine in the second season of Dave Filoni's series.
3) Anakin Skywalker
The famous Jedi makes a brief appearance in the first season of Ahsoka. This is an opportunity to see the iconic actor Hayden Christensen back in the character's shoes. We haven't seen him since Star Wars: Attack of Clones and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. But since the series Obi-Wan Kenobi, Hayden Christensen seems to be back for good as Anakin and Darth Vader. In the first season of Ahsoka, Anakin appeared as a Force ghost on Paridea. Both Ahsoka's ally and moral enemy, Anakin's involvement is still a bit unclear. Regarding season 2, it's not yet known whether Anakin will appear in flashbacks or as a Force ghost. It's rumored that the character could be linked to the Mortis Force gods. In any case, it's always a pleasure to see Hayden Christensen again.
2) Baylan Skoll
The tragic loss of Ray Stevenson on May 21, 2023, was a blow to our morale. The actor, notably famous for playing the Punisher in the Lexi Alexander film and for being the face of Volstagg in the MCU, gave a totally crazy performance as the Sith Baylan Skoll. It's quite simple, the writing of his character and the inhabited incarnation of Ray Stevenson have made Baylan Skoll one of the best villains in the Star Wars universe since the prequels. We can't wait to see this character again, attracted by the Gods of the Force and by a mysterious secondary destiny, even if we will sorely miss Ray Stevenson. Star Wars Celebration has officially confirmed that actor Rory McCann will inherit the character.
Baylan Skoll's apprentice, the neurotic Shin Hati, will also be back. Played by the talented Ivanna Sakhn, she's a slightly clichéd character but has interesting potential. We don't yet know what path this antagonist will take, but we're curious to see her evolution.
