The B&You Pure Fibre offer now includes the new Bbox Wi-Fi 7, for the same price

Bouygues Telecom announces the arrival of its new tri-band certified Wi-Fi 7 box on its B&You Pure Fibre offer, without television or landline. This development responds to the competition, but also to the growing demand for a fast and affordable connection.

Bouygues Telecom upgrades to tri-band Wi-Fi 7 on B&You Pure Fibre

The B&You Pure Fibre offer, launched at the end of 2024, receives a notable update: it now comes with a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 server certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. Its unique feature lies in the use of three frequency bands, allowing for better distribution of connected devices and limiting slowdowns, particularly in highly equipped homes. In comparison, the recently launched Freebox Pop S operates with two bands, which could make a difference in certain intensive usage contexts.

Bouygues is keeping the price of €23.99 per month with no commitment and no increase planned after the first year. The promise of speeds of up to 8 Gbit/s download and 1 Gbit/s upload remains, subject to eligibility of course. For those who wish to optimize their network coverage, the operator also offers optional Wi-Fi 7 repeaters for €4 per month.

An offer that aligns with changing usage

The evolution of the B&You Pure Fibre subscription follows an underlying trend: usage linked to traditional television and landline telephony is declining. According to figures cited by Bouygues Telecom, nearly one in five fiber-connected households no longer uses a TV decoder, and daily use of a landline telephone now concerns a minority of subscribers.

In this context, offering a fiber offer that focuses solely on fast and stable Internet access is quite consistent. The abandonment of additional services makes it possible to maintain an attractive price, without sacrificing performance.
The strategy seems to be working: Bouygues recorded good results in the fixed and fiber segment in the second half of 2024, confirming that a growing proportion of consumers now prefer the simplicity of an efficient connection without unnecessary services, for the lowest possible price.
