The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remastered is officially available and it's awesome

It was one of the worst-kept secrets in the industry. After months of rumors and weeks of leaks, The Elder Scrolls 4 Remastered has finally been confirmed by Bethesda. The date was set for Tuesday, April 22, 2025, to discover what this remaster had in store. Rumor had it that a nice surprise awaited viewers at the end of this livestream, and it didn't fail.

The Elder Scrolls 4 Remastered finally available

This time it's official. In addition to Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, Virtuos is also tackling an RPG monument. It looks like a remake, yet it will have to be called The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered. A true overhaul carried out under Unreal Engine 5, the game will therefore bring one of Bethesda's great classics up to date with modernized graphics. It's clearly night and day compared to the original work, which is already almost two decades old. The result is stunning, even if purists will surely regret the overly shimmering colors of This Elder Scrolls 4 Remastered.

Virtuos Games hasn't just given her a makeover, some gameplay improvements are also on the agenda, particularly in terms of the user interface, the now more dynamic combat, the ability to sprint, and the leveling system, which is now inspired by Skyrim while retaining the identity of Oblivion. New dialogues have been recorded, but rest assured, the most iconic lines will still be present.
