Despite its 10 years, The Witcher 3 isn't ready to retire yet. CD Projekt RED's masterpiece can still count on fans to fill it with new content of their own creation thanks to mod support via the very comprehensive REDKit. A recent mod might be worth a look, if you've ever missed playing as the White Wolf. This should help you wait until the seemingly very distant release of The Witcher 4.
A new sword like no other to What to Recover in The Witcher 3
The Witcher 3 has made a lasting impression with the impressive writing quality of its story and quests. Even the smallest side missions are exciting to follow because of their stakes, the characters you meet, and the rewards you can get from them. The mod that interests us here, created by Forlornsito, pays homage to the game on this point, with the quest called "The Crooked Sword".
This is a treasure hunt that follows the title's first DLC, Hearts of Stone. She asks us to travel to the islands of Skellige, to meet a mysterious cartographer at the docks of Rannvaing. He seems obsessed with a legendary sword that apparently has the power to wipe out entire armies. This is bound to arouse curiosity for our dear Geralt. Like the quests imagined by CD Projekt RED for The Witcher 3, however, appearances can be deceptive.
This sword is indeed as powerful as Aerondight, the best sword in the game, available via the excellent DLC Blood and Wine, with fantastic bonuses, but also huge disadvantages as soon as Geralt equips it. The quest lasts about thirty minutes, with a few scenes specially created by the modder for the occasion. Here's a preview of all this via the video below. Otherwise, if you want to discover it for yourself, go to its page Nexus Mods. Unfortunately, it is currently only available on the PC version of The Witcher 3.
