Untimely canvassing, the number 1 scourge of mobile customers

Untimely canvassing, the number 1 scourge of mobile customers

Unwanted calls are a scourge for smartphone users. We obviously suspected it, but the 2024 edition of Arcep's customer satisfaction observatory confirms the nuisance of unsolicited calls. "92% of those surveyed received at least one unwanted call or text message in the last 3 months and 55% receive almost one unwanted call per day," the regulator said.

Arcep confirms users' exasperation

34% of those surveyed were victims of number spoofing at least once a month (11% at least once a day!). Of course, this problem is not entirely attributable to the operators, but it is by far the main irritant, affecting 30% of respondents who have encountered problems with their operator. Arcep notes the net decline (-9 points compared to 2023) in mobile internet quality issues.

Half of users (51% to be precise) report having encountered a problem with their internet service provider, 4 points less than the previous year. The figure is also down for mobile operators: 47%, or 3 points less. Quality of service in general is the biggest reason for dissatisfaction with fixed networks, but related problems are down 6 points. Next come connection problems. fiber (+4 points).

The four main operators can in any case congratulate themselves on the results of the 2024 observatory. General satisfaction is on the rise for everyone, no jealousy! There is still one winner, Free with a score of 8.1 out of 10 (+0.4), followed by Orange with 8 (+0.2), Bouygues Telecom with 7.8 (+0.3) and SFR closes the ranking with a score of 7.5 (+0.2). On average, the score for mobile operators is 7.9/10 and 7.8 for internet service providers.
