WhatsApp messaging will be equipped with three very useful options during an audio or video call made via the application. These have been spotted in the latest beta version on Android. Here they are in pictures.
While most people use WhatsApp as an instant messenger, the mobile app allows for much more. Not to mention more unusual features like channels or communities, it can be used to make both audio and video calls. Moreover, on iOS, it is entirely possible to set WhatsApp as the default app for managing messages and calls.

While waiting to be able to do this on Android, Meta has decided to improve this aspect of the application. And not one, but three new features have been added. spotted on the beta version numbered 2.25.10.16. All have a purpose, knowing that two of them add features that we have been waiting for for a long time.
With these 3 new features, WhatsApp wants to make calls via the application more practical
Let's start with the first one, on the left in the screenshot below. We note the addition of a "Mute" button in the notification bar when receiving an audio call. You can therefore answer without activating the microphone, for example to give yourself a few seconds to isolate yourself.
Next comes what will surely prove to be the most useful: the possibility of deactivating your camera before taking a video call. Currently, you have to answer, which activates the camera, then deactivate it. From now on, there's no need to point the lens at the ceiling while you do it because you're not presentable.
Finally, the latest new feature will be especially useful during group calls since it involves emoji reactions during a video call. For example, approving a comment can be done without interrupting the other person, simply by sending a thumbs-up or something else. This will make conversations between groups more fluid.
