At its Google I/O 2025 conference, the American giant put artificial intelligence at the center of its announcements. Among them, a new premium plan called "Google AI Ultra." It stands out for its stratospheric price and exclusive access to the company's latest AI tools.
Google AI Ultra: a high-end subscription for power users
Designed for developers, researchers, and content creators, Google AI Ultra is now the most comprehensive offering in Google's AI catalog. The subscription costs €274.99 per month (around €3,300 per year), with a promotional rate of €139.99 per month for the first three months.
With this plan, Google promises accelerated response times, extended usage limits, and early access to experimental features. The company is billing it as a "VIP pass" to its AI ecosystem, reserved for those who want to stay at the forefront. The subscription is available now in the United States, and will be "coming to other countries soon," Google said, without providing a timeline. Europe and France will therefore have to wait a little longer.
The tools included in Google AI Ultra
Subscribers benefit from privileged access to all of Google's most advanced AI tools:
- Gemini, in its most powerful version, with access to Deep Research, the Deep Think 2.5 Pro model, video generation via Veo 2, and soon Veo 3.
- Flow, a 1080p video creation tool that generates complex scenes using simple instructions.
- Whisk, an image generator based on text and visual prompts.
- NotebookLM, the smart notepad now available as a mobile app, with increased capabilities.
- Gemini integrated with Google services, including Gmail, Docs, Chrome, and Vids.
- Project Mariner, an assistant capable of handling up to ten complex tasks simultaneously.
- 30 TB of cloud storage, split between Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos.
- YouTube Premium, included in the subscription.
At the same time, Google is rebranding its “AI Premium” offering under the name "Google AI Pro." This cheaper plan gives access to some features of "AI Ultra," such as Flow with Veo 2 or Gemini in Chrome.
Google also announced that students at universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Brazil, and Indonesia will be able to benefit from a free one-year Google AI Pro subscription. A way for the company to "familiarize" young talents with its tools, to make them more dependent on them?
