Days Gone Remastered Gets a Big New Update, What's New?

Days Gone Remastered Gets a Big New Update, What's New?

In the absence of a Days Gone 2, which has been highly requested by players for years, Bend Studio recently offered us the opportunity to dive back into the adventures of Deacon St John through a remaster. Like The Last of Us Part II before it, Days Gone, which was originally released in 2018, has indeed received its own facelift on PS5, accompanied by some new content for the occasion. And after deploying a first patch two weeks ago, the studio is back today with a new update full of fixes.

A new graphics mode for Days Gone Remastered

The first notable addition of this version 1.025.717, a new graphics mode is making its appearance in Days Gone Remastered: the “Balanced” mode. By activating it, PS5 players can enjoy the adventure in 1800p and 40 FPS, while PS5 Pro players switch to 2160p, still at 40 FPS. And for the latter, it can even go up to 4K thanks to PSSR. Be careful, however, Bend Studio specifies that this option will only appear if you have a TV that supports 120 Hz.

Similarly, the developers confirm that VRR is now supported, still provided you have a suitable TV. However, note that its activation will not have to go through an option present in the Days Gone Remastered menus, but in those of your console's settings. Finally, to finish with the graphical part of the patch, the studio indicates that adjustments have been made to Performance mode, while a display bug related to closing the map has been fixed.
