"This isn't the first time we've chosen to evolve Donkey Kong. For example, when we created the Jungle Beat game, we collaborated with the Mario 3D team. Thanks to the technology available at the time, we were able to make Donkey Kong more expressive. After that, we returned to the design proposed by Rare, but quickly, we asked ourselves the question: what can we do to make him even more expressive? That's how, starting with the film, we decided to move forward by proposing this design for the next generation Donkey Kong," he explains.
