Elden Ring Nightreign shows gameplay that still sends heavy stuff

Elden Ring Nightreign is coming May 30th to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, and is billed as a cooperative spin-off of Elden Ring with elements of Rogue-Lite and Battle Royale. Ahead of its release, the title was showcased with a trailer showcasing its overall gameplay, as well as each of the eight characters we'll be able to play at launch. A new trailer just released focuses on one of them, who will fly into the feathers of the Lord of the Night.

Elden Ring Nightreign flies to other skies with a new trailer

Elden Ring Nightreign will bring the big video game releases of May 2025 to a close in style, while we wait to see what FromSoftware has in store for us next, in addition to the Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods coming next year. Until then, here is a new trailer introducing one of the eight heroes with whom we will have to face the Lord of the Night: the Guardian.

We were able to try it out as part of our Elden Ring Nightreign preview. He is a eagle-like warrior, but with only one functional wing. He starts each run with a large shield and a halberd. Like other Elden Ring Nightreign heroes such as the Duchess or the Recluse, he has a unique power and an ultimate ability. His basic ability generates a gust of wind capable of knocking down normal-sized opponents or momentarily stunning larger enemies, in addition to dealing them damage.

His ultimate ability allows him to fly for a few seconds, before falling back to the ground and dealing massive damage in a wide area, or instantly raising downed allies. In any case, see you on May 30th to play as him in Elden Ring Nightreign and discover his story thanks to the mechanics of memories.
