Deadtime Defenders
We start with the first free game highlighted by the Epic Games Store, called Deadtime Defenders, developed and published by Arcane Embers and released in 2020. It is a looter shooter mixed with side-scroller, exclusively single-player. As its name suggests, it places us in the shoes of an elite soldier who explores alternative dimensions and faces hordes of monsters. Like Borderlands, it features some RPG mechanics, such as the ability to customize your Defender and your arsenal by looting a bunch of random weapons with unique stats and abilities.

This time, it's a real-time strategy game, but with a twist. We play as Paul, a budding hero who wants to sit on the vacant throne of Minsteria. The entire gameplay of Touch Type Tale is based on the player's ability to quickly type one or more keys on the keyboard. For example, you will have to type the word of a construction or an instruction to your armies in battle.
