Galaxy S25 FE: same camera sensors, same chip, same smartphone?

Several months before its official presentation, the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is already beginning to reveal itself. According to the latest information from GalaxyClub, the Korean brand is betting on camera modules that are virtually unchanged from previous models. A choice that could disappoint those who were hoping for a change in this regard.

A feeling of déjà vu for the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE's camera

Thus, the Galaxy S25 FE would be equipped with an 8 MP 3x telephoto lens and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. These two secondary sensors correspond exactly to those integrated since the Galaxy S20 FE, released in 2020. A configuration that will therefore surprise no one, but which is starting to clash with the rapid developments of the competition...

Indeed, some competitors do much better, like the Nothing Phone 3a Pro which offers a much more modern 50 Mpx 3x telephoto sensor for a similar price. Because such a surplus of pixels makes it possible to offer a more efficient hybrid or digital zoom. On this point, the S25 FE risks therefore being a pale in comparison for those who like to take pictures from a distance.

A main sensor and a processor that would not evolve either

The main sensor of the Galaxy S25 FE would also remain at 50 Mpx, identical to that of the Galaxy S23 FE and the Galaxy S24 FE. This is not bad news in itself, because this module remains capable of good results, but it is in no way an improvement. The front camera is said to be 12 MP, which would represent a slight improvement over the previous generation's 10 MP.

Processor-wise, Samsung would still use the Exynos 2400e, as on the S24 FE. While this chip is decent for a device in this range, it won't improve the device's raw performance. Samsung will therefore have to rely on One UI software optimization to get the most out of this configuration, which is very similar to that of its predecessor.
