Aside from missions and the main storyline, side activities are very popular with GTA players. Following the release of the recent trailer and the information contained on the game's official website, we've listed the activities that should be allowed for players.
14 activities players are looking forward to in GTA 6
By releasing its second trailer while updating its website in the process, Rockstar has given us a ton of information about GTA 6. Characters, explorable locations, activities, potential missions, the studio has rekindled the hype around its game, shortly after cooling its community by announcing its delay to next year. This time, we're looking at the fourteen activities that should take players out of the story for several dozen hours.
#14 The Automatic Wash
Automatic wash stations, which appeared in GTA 4, will also be back, according to the images presented in Trailer 2. What does Rockstar have in store to encourage players to wash their cars regularly?
#13 The Kayak
The northern area of Leonida, called Mount Kalaga, offers opportunities to escape into nature, including kayaking. It remains to be seen whether Rockstar has planned a whole range of activities like races or obstacle courses, or whether it will just be about freely navigating beautiful rivers.
#12 Fishing
In one of the screenshots of the second trailer, we can see Jason trying his hand at fishing on a boat alongside his good friend Cal. Further confirmation that fishing will be making its debut as one of the new activities in the franchise. As a reminder, Rockstar already tried it in Red Dead Redemption 2.
#11 Mini-golf
Although it has not been officially confirmed by Rockstar yet, mini-golf is expected to return in GTA 6. Already available in the previous installment, we suspect that the studio will bring this activity back to Vice City.
#10 Billiards
A classic since GTA 4. Pool will also be back in the bars and game rooms that dot Vice City and the Leonida Keys area, the starting point of Jason and Lucia's adventure.
#9 Basketball
While basketball is also not confirmed, two big clues suggest that we'll be able to play it: a basket hanging on one of the walls of Jason's house, then a Basketball court spotted on one of the maps revealing the city of Vice City. Moreover, when zooming in, the players strongly resemble the characters of Cal Hampton and Jason.
#8 American Football
On the beach, we see two men throwing an American football. We don't yet know if this activity will be reserved for NPCs, or if we will be able to play it. If so, it would be a first for the franchise.
#7 The Ferris Wheel
The presence of a Ferris wheel in a screenshot of Vice City at night is striking. Standing proudly near a stadium and what looks like a museum, we imagine it will be part of an area dedicated to cultural and tourist activities. Enough to take magnificent shots of Vice City at its peak.
#6 The Hunt
Appearing in GTA V and then in Red Dead Redemption 2 (the game lends itself more to it), the hunt could return in the future Rockstar game. In one of the images, we notice two hunters. On another, a group of poachers proudly pose alongside an alligator.
#5 Motocross Racing
Motorcross racing is a GTA classic. It's unthinkable that it won't return.
#4 Scuba Diving
This is one of the biggest expectations players have. How will the seabed be represented in a region where the coastline is omnipresent? More than 10 years after their debut in GTA V, we hope that scuba diving activities will be more developed, with real interest. Thanks to the power of the Rage engine, the seabed should be much more detailed.
#3 Bodybuilding
Since Rockstar has done a very big job on bodies, their diversity and their musculature, we imagine that it will be possible to develop ours thanks to the equipment scattered throughout the gyms (or on the beach, as shown in the trailer).
#2 Boxing / Bodybuilding combat
Seeing Lucia training in a gym and practicing boxing suggests that it will be possible to play it. It remains to be seen whether Rockstar has planned matches, or even combat sports tournaments, or if all this will just serve to bloat our muscles.
#1 Strip Clubs
A die-hard fan of the license. Strip clubs and dance bars will be teeming in Vice City. It's a chance to relax with a drink between perilous missions, play dance mini-games, and even more for the naughtiest among us.
