A completely new feature for a Rockstar title could be integrated into the future GTA 6. A mechanic that already has players salivating.
Fans dissect GTA 6 gameplay
The release of the second trailer for GTA 6 has completely rekindled the hype surrounding Rockstar's hit. A few days after announcing the game's delay to 2026, the studio has calmed fans with an explosive trailer that focuses heavily on storytelling. Brand new images that have led fans to analyze Jason and Lucia's story in Vice City. In the process, Rockstar updated the game's official website by revealing the 6 explorable zones and the secondary characters. Also, through the images, the most curious have embarked on a meticulous decryption of the scenes, trying to spot the future activities that will be offered to them in Leonida. Between the screenshots provided on the site and the unpublished images of the trailer, fans have many tools at their disposal to try to detect clues about the game's content. The visual of Lucia leaning on the edge of a swimming pool, wireless headphones screwed into her ears, is causing a stir on the networks. Is this just a minor detail, or is this a hint left by Rockstar suggesting the integration of a new mechanic?
A new feature could be integrated
Since music is an essential element of the license, particularly through the many radio stations that can be listened to during car rides, it would be possible, according to players, to listen to music outside of vehicles, thanks to these "iFruit AirPods". Another screenshot showing Jason working out on the beach wearing similar headphones makes sense.
After all, why not. Watch Dogs: Legion (2020) already offered this feature. In Ubisoft's title, it was possible to listen to songs while walking through headphones. Some Saints Row games also offered the ability to listen to music while walking, but this time through a smartphone. Some rumors go even further. On social media, some are talking about the integration of a music app into the game, quite similar to a streaming service, allowing the player to personalize their musical experience.
This feature is therefore nothing revolutionary. However, on Reddit, an internet user points out that in a trailer for GTA 5, Michael - one of the game's main protagonists - also wore headphones, without it being possible to listen to Radio Los Santos or West Coast Classics outside of a car.
In short, the game is starting to take shape. Rockstar CEO Strauss Zelnick also recently revealed that development of the "most complex and ambitious title produced by the studio to date" began in 2018. That's eight long years of work. We can therefore dream of the greatest madness in this GTA 6, especially on the gameplay side.
