In just over three weeks, the Nintendo Switch 2 will be officially available worldwide. To accompany its launch, a multitude of games were announced by various publishers, including Warner Bros., who obviously didn't miss this opportunity to bring Hogwarts Legacy to a new platform. However, many were still wondering if the company planned to offer an upgrade for Switch owners. We now have the answer to this question.
A tacit upgrade for Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch 2
Indeed, as some internet users have pointed out on social networks, it appears that an upgrade is indeed available for Hogwarts Legacy at a price of €10. To benefit from it, you just need to go to the Nintendo eShop page for the title, where an 83% discount will automatically be applied to the Nintendo Switch 2 version. A surprising way to proceed, especially considering that it seems to be an unspoken upgrade. Because at the time of writing, Warner Bros has still not officially communicated on this subject.
This is nevertheless excellent news for players, who were naturally afraid of having to pay the full price again to enjoy Hogwarts Legacy in better conditions. But be careful! Since the method applied is relatively unusual, it is also not impossible that this could be a temporary reduction. If we were you, we wouldn't wait too long to enjoy it, otherwise we'd be in for a potential nasty surprise in the coming weeks.
The best Switch version
In any case, there's no doubt that this Harry Potter-themed RPG, whose success is well established, will find its audience on Nintendo's new machine. As a reminder, this Nintendo Switch 2 version of Hogwarts Legacy will notably include reworked graphics for the occasion, accompanied by greater fluidity and considerably reduced loading times thanks to better optimization. Avalanche Software has also confirmed support for the Joy-Con 2 mouse mode.
