According to Statista, one in three companies in France has already been the victim of cyberattacks. Whether through cyberattacks, malicious emails, or even social media, the channels are multiplying, as are the potential attacks.
This is why the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (École Polytechnique, Télécom Paris, ENSTA, etc.) has created the Executive MSc in Cybersecurity to train professionals to deal with these new threats.
Co-developed in partnership with Orange and Accenture, recognized for their cyber expertise, this training addresses today's security challenges.
A digital context that is difficult to understand...
Even for long-time digital professionals, the current context has never been as uncertain as it is now. Indeed, with notable progress in areas such as artificial intelligence, it has become more difficult to identify future developments in cybersecurity.
Furthermore, since data protection is at the heart of certain regulations, notably the GDPR in Europe, large French and international organizations must take the security of the data they collect with the greatest attention. The development of certain technologies, including the cloud, requires online security professionals to adapt at every moment.
Some training programs, such as the Executive Master of Science (MSc) in Cybersecurity, aim to take these different aspects into account to prepare for the future of online security…

Zoom on the Executive MSc in Cybersecurity
Among the diploma courses on the market, the Executive MSc in Cybersecurity is undoubtedly one of the most comprehensive. Indeed, this training allows both to train professionals already in employment, but also those wishing to specialize, upgrade their skills or retrain.
Among the 350 hours of training 95% asynchronously distance learning, the common core allows you to revisit the fundamentals and challenges of cybersecurity. Beyond the theoretical aspects of how networks, architecture, information systems, and platforms work, this section also covers project management around cybersecurity.
While this 6-month core curriculum is already very comprehensive, students then have the option of choosing a Governor or Cybersecurity Architect specialty.
On the Governor side, participants learn how to design a complete strategic plan, from definition to implementation, but also how to provide advice that can be quickly implemented depending on the context (ISMS, CAMS, or IMS). In this specialization, students also learn to manage governance and compliance by drafting all the documents required for a project and implementing project methods compatible with the ISO 19011 standard or the PASSI framework.
The Architect specialization allows students to design highly complex technical architectures while understanding the techniques of tomorrow. In order to project themselves into concrete projects in companies, this specialization also offers a section dedicated to managing operational security. In this section, participants will learn how to master the most advanced digital forensic methods in the context of an investigation.

75,000 positions to be filled in France
According to the France 2030 report – Training for the Jobs of Tomorrow, there are currently nearly 75,000 positions available in France in the field of cybersecurity. While this can be clearly explained by the growth of cyberattacks in businesses, the lack of personnel trained in the most advanced techniques is glaring.
Thomas Heide Clausen, Academic Director of the Executive MSc in Cybersecurity, states that this is all the more true for companies that wish to upgrade the skills of their employees.
By offering training with a common core curriculum and two specializations, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris aims to train the future cybersecurity specialists of tomorrow...
A free webinar to discover the program
In order to better raise awareness among professionals about cybersecurity, the École Polytechnique Executive Education regularly organizes free program presentation webinars. These webinars, led by the Digital thematic referent of X-Exed, a speaker of the program and a former participant, allow you to learn more about the cybersecurity training offered by IP Paris.
During these approximately one-hour events, participants can also take the opportunity to discuss any questions they may haveabout this training.
