InZOI: a major update arrives with a highly anticipated feature

Good news for creators, inZOI is about to reach an important milestone. The game continues to improve over time and is preparing to offer, via an update, a feature highly anticipated by the community, a new feature that could really change everything in the future for the life simulation.

This feature is coming to inZOI

Indeed, the studio has just announced the arrival of its very first official ModKit, planned for the end of May 2025. A tool designed to pave the way for players' creativity, with the added bonus of a roadmap that promises to be heavy until the end of the year. The ModKit will be available for free on the Epic Games Store. And contrary to what you might think, it's not just for experts. The team wanted to make it easy to use, even for beginners.

From launch, inZOI players will be able to modify the game's furniture and outfits. How? Using JSON files and 3D models provided by the developers. For example, you can create a bed that regenerates energy faster or extend the duration of an emotion like flirting. Small tweaks that can change everything.

Tools designed for creators

The inZOI ModKit will also come with official plugins for Blender and Maya. These tools will allow you to easily import the game's assets into your favorite 3D software. Once your creation is complete, you can export it as an Unreal plugin. It's clean, it's structured, and it integrates directly into the game.

Another big plus: direct compatibility with CurseForge. You will be able to share your mods, package them, and make them available to the entire community, from an interface integrated into the game. A real step forward for modding on inZOI.

The arrival of the ModKit is just the beginning. The inZOI team has already planned several updates to enrich the possibilities for creators throughout the year. Here is what awaits you:

  • End of May 2025: Launch of the ModKit with the ability to modify furniture and outfits, and a simplified interface for editing data.
  • September 2025: Modding opens to faces, hairstyles, and architectural elements (doors, windows, pillars, etc.). It will also be possible to create interactive content such as dialogues, animations, or rewards.
  • December 2025: Almost all outfits will be moddable. Creators will also have access to tools to edit scripts and localize their content into multiple languages.
