Monster Hunter Wilds: New Free Content Unlike Any Other Announced

Available since last February, Monster Hunter Wilds continues to quietly make its way. With more than ten million copies sold in its first month on the market, it has undeniably attracted the favor of players, who have answered the call of the hunt in great numbers. And Capcom returns the favor by regularly offering a series of free content to extend the experience. As proof, a new salvo is already on the way.

New free content for Monster Hunter Wilds

And what a salvo, some will say! Because this time, the world of Monster Hunter Wilds is blending with that of another extremely popular franchise in the publisher's catalog: Street Fighter 6. Starting next week, and more precisely on May 28, players will be able to enjoy a ton of new features as part of this special crossover. A crossover that will notably mark the appearance of Akuma, a combat demon who has adopted the Satsui no Hado in his quest to become the Master of the Ultimate Fist.

To begin, Capcom announces the arrival of a new side quest in Monster Hunter Wilds, "Ultimate Force", accessible to all hunters at RC 21 or higher. To trigger it, go to the Oil Basin base camp and speak to the Vespae unit assistant, Quinn. Once completed, you will then have access to a series of new rewards consisting of a complete "Akuma" fighter set, a complete "Blanka-Chan" palico set, and finally a Fighter Profile dog tag, pose, and background.

But that's not all. The studio also announced that by equipping the "Akuma" set, you will benefit from a series of combos directly inherited from Street Fighter 6. To do this, you simply select the "automatic combo: Akuma" item from the item bar, which will initiate various offensive combos immediately. As for their power, it will evolve based on two elements: the main weapon you have, and whether you are wearing the full set or not.

Paid new features also announced

Note that additional paid content has also been announced by Capcom for the occasion. This includes several outfits (Chun-Li, Cammy), the "Blanka-Chan Doll" accessory, a set of stickers in the Street Fighter 6 colors and finally three emotes (Hadoken, Shoryuken and Tatsumaki Senpu-kyaku) with offensive properties. As for the prices, however, no information has been revealed. See you in Monster Hunter Wilds next week to find out, knowing that this collection will now be part of the game permanently.
