My Hero Academia is coming to Discord

My Hero Academia is coming to Discord

In an era where our digital identity matters as much as our clothing style, personalizing our online profile has become almost as natural as choosing our wallpaper. On Discord, the instant messaging service for gamers and many other communities, personalizing your profile is the key to standing out. And this personalization can sometimes include references to cult anime.

With this in mind, Discord is partnering with Crunchyroll today for a collaboration around My Hero Academia. With the anime's final season expected in October 2025, fans can now transform their profiles to pay tribute to their favorite characters. Eight avatar decorations and three profile effects inspired by the series' Quirks and iconic characters—from Deku to Shigaraki—are available now in several regions worldwide. Anna Songco Adamian, Vice President at Crunchyroll, points out:

A collaboration that doesn't make you pay

The good news is that these customization options seem to be accessible to all Discord users, not just subscribers to Discord Nitro, the platform's premium service. However, the service offers you more tools to customize your profile for €10.49 per month (or €99.99 per year). Users benefit from a set of exclusives: animated avatars, profile banners, large file uploads, server boosts, and of course, access to prestigious collections like that of My Hero Academia.

This strategic collaboration comes just before the Anime Awards 2025, a major event in the world of animation where My Hero Academia competes in two categories: Movie of the Year (You’re Next) and Best Continuing Series (Season 7).
