While everyone is eagerly awaiting NieR 3, the franchise has decided to play with players' nerves. NieR Automata, certainly the most popular and by far the most appreciated installment of the franchise, is giving all its fans a big surprise, but it's already divisive and causing a reaction as it seems rather bizarre. And yet, it's indeed true.
NieR Automata is back... but most fans are likely to be disappointed
In the absence of a new game, or even a remastered version of NieR Automata, the game from Platinum Games and Yoko Taro is enjoying a new collaboration. This isn't the first time 2B and her friends have appeared in another game. Recently, Stellar Blade, for example, received outfits in the franchise's colors. But while Eve wears 2B's short skirt rather well, this isn't really the case for the Rainbow Six Siege agent, and yet, the cosmetic collaboration exists there too.
Once again, NieR Automata lands in a game that's the polar opposite of its universe: Call of Duty. Yes, 2B will be able to carry the guns in this most strange partnership. In truth, we're not really surprised, as Activision's game plays on all fronts. We've lost count of the number of licenses that have taken the step of collaborating with the most popular FPS. NieR Automata is now one of them.
2B are coming to Call of Duty, but not even the most recent one
While the collaboration is enough to raise an eyebrow, the fact is that it's Call of Duty Mobile. Although the shooter is extremely popular, this is not Call of Duty Black Ops 6, the latest installment in the franchise, and it's a cold shower for fans who were rather happy with the collaboration. So if you want your 2B skin and all the associated cosmetics like a weapon skin for example, it's on mobile.
At the time of writing, we haven't seen the full appearance yet, but at least it looks faithful. Call of Duty Mobile shared a short video with some images as well as an even smaller teaser with some sweet music for our ears. The NieR Automata x COD Mobile collaboration is expected in the coming days, without date that said.
