A long break, which is coupled with regular concerns from readers for Eiichiro Oda, whose health has been a concern for several years now. The adventures of Luffy and his pirate crew in the waters of the Grand Line are now arriving in dribs and drabs, as their author suffers from vision and back problems. Regarding the anime, episode 1129, expected by fans on May 12, will finally be pushed back a week and will air on May 18. Instead, a recap episode with Jewelry Bonney and Kuma will air, to refresh the audience's memory in anticipation of what's next.
One Piece is airing this special episode
The special recap episode in question will air on May 11th, and will be titled Dr. Chopper's Adventure Checkup - The Ballad of a Father and Daughter. This will be the 21st special episode of One Piece, and will focus on the relationship between Jewelry Bonney and her father, Bartholomew Kuma. This character, whose Devil Fruit is explained by Eiichiro Oda right here, is very popular with fans. His past is a major part of the Egghead Island Arc, and the rest of the anime will reveal how it influences the present, as Luffy is drawn ever further toward the grand finale of his adventure...
