As we told you earlier this week, something new was brewing in the Persona 5 universe. Indeed, it was through an enigmatic message that ATLUS West had stirred up the excitement of fans, just a few days before the organization of a live event dedicated to Persona 5: The Phantom X. From then on, many theorized the idea that the studio could finally announce a worldwide release for its free-to-play title. And they were right, since the information is now official!
Persona 5 The Phantom X officialized for Europe
A year after its arrival in China, Taiwan and South Korea, Persona 5 The Phantom X will finally open its doors to the rest of the world. And the good news is that you won't have to wait long to enjoy it, as ATLUS has confirmed its release for June 26, 2025, in the West and Japan. However, no additional support has been announced. To get started on the adventure, you'll have to go through the mobile version, available on iOS and Android, or the PC version, available on Steam.
More good news: Persona 5 The Phantom X will also offer an English translation for the occasion, which will then accompany the Japanese dubbing. Because yes, as you can imagine, such a side project naturally cannot benefit from localization in all languages. Consequently, you will need to at least master the language of Shakespeare if you want to enjoy the experience in good conditions. We know, it's not necessarily ideal, but it's the harsh law of many JRPGs.
The next opus still has no subscribers
This should give some fans something to tide them over while they wait for news of Persona 6. Because unfortunately, ATLUS still hasn't communicated about the successor to Persona 5, which could be released as soon as next year, according to some rumors. But perhaps we'll finally hear about it in the coming weeks. At the Summer Game Fest, for example, or at one of the many conferences expected this summer. Unless it's more likely a new Persona 4 remake...
