All PlayStation Plus games for May 2025 are now available to subscribers. This includes titles offered with the Essential subscription (Ark Survival Ascended, Balatro, Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun), but also those from the PS Plus Extra & Premium offers (Sand Land, Battlefield 5, Humankind, etc.). But like every month, there are also deletions in the various catalogs. And this month, Sony Interactive Entertainment is not going easy on it. Yes, like all video game or SVOD subscriptions, there are monthly catalog rotations that involve content deletions. And PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass respond to this operation. As for the PlayStation Plus Extra & Premium releases in May 2025, it's still going to hurt, really hurt. In total, there are 21 PS5 and PS4 games that will be deleted as of May 20, 2025. Admittedly, it's slightly less than the 25 from last year, but it's still huge. Especially since there are beloved blockbusters among these departures, like Batman: Arkham Knight, GTA 5, or the much-loved PlayStation exclusive Infamous Second Son.
These three games will leave PS Plus Extra & Premium next week, but there are other major titles that will unfortunately follow the same path. We have the excellent fast FPS Ghostrunner, which will please all fans of parkour and Mirror's Edge. Other major and even cult licenses are also on the way, like Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, or the VR games The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners. If you value retro gaming, the PS Plus Extra & Premium releases in May 2025 will see the first two Resistance games disappear. Here are all of the upcoming removals:
