PS Plus: Three free games from huge licenses to grab as soon as possible

The PS Plus games for May 2025 have been officially revealed, and contrary to rumors, there is no Until Dawn Remake. In the coming days, subscribers will be able to venture into hostile territory with Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun and Ark: Survival Ascended, and discover one of the best games of recent years, Balatro. These three games will be offered via PlayStation Plus Essential from May 6 to June 2, 2025. But like every month, Sony Interactive Entertainment must first do a little cleaning on its service.

PS Plus games for April 2025 soon to be removed

It will soon be too late to recover the PS Plus games for April 2025, which have been available since April 1, 2025 on PS5 and PS4. Indeed, the three free games currently being offered will be removed from the subscription starting Monday, May 5, 2025. If you don't want to miss them, you should at least add them to your library. After that, you're free to download immediately, in several months or years. What matters is that you remain subscribed. For the past month, PS Plus has been offering three "free" games from huge licenses, even cult sagas.

There is notably one of the nice surprises of this generation, RoboCop: Rogue City. While few players have bet on it, it turns out that the adaptation challenge has been met. "RoboCop: Rogue City stands out as the most accomplished video game adaptation of this iconic 80s action hero," wrote Camille in her review. And the fact that it's in PS Plus Essential for a few more hours is perfect timing. Nacon has indeed announced RoboCop: Rogue City Unfinished Business. An XXL DLC that will be available without needing the base game.

  • RoboCop: Rogue City| PS5
  • Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory| PS4
  • The Texas Chain Saw Massacre| PS4, PS5

Another room, another atmosphere with the cult franchise The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. An asymmetrical multiplayer horror game where you can play as either the Killers or the Survivors. One of the best titles of the genre that, like RoboCop, respects the original work. If you're curious, we've released the beginner's guide and the guide to playing as a Killer to give you a little information and advice before you start. Finally, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker's Memory is also set to leave PS Plus Essential in April 2025. Note that free content unrelated to the selection is still available.
