Price debates in the gaming world are commonplace. However, they have intensified in recent months. We saw this particularly with Nintendo and the announcement of the prices applied to the Switch 2. But before that, PlayStation had already made a lot of noise with the figures for its PS5 Pro. Since then, the PS Plus subscription has been subject to an increase. Any period of sales will therefore be welcome for gamers, and that's good, because it would happen very quickly.
PS5 consoles and PS Plus subscriptions soon on sale
Sales are regularly happening at PlayStation. Usually, it's on the gaming side that it happens thanks to the PS Store. But, from time to time, Sony also offers the opportunity to get great deals on its hardware and even on PS Plus subscriptions. It's called "Days of Play," and last year, it took place between the end of May and the beginning of June. However, if we believe the latest leaks, the operation would return from Wednesday, May 28 to June 11, 2025. For the occasion, the promotions would be particularly interesting on consoles. The PlayStation 5 Slim would be entitled to a discount of €100, which would come to €449.99 with the disc drive or €399.99 without. In addition, for the first time, the PS5 Pro should benefit from a discount of up to €50. It would therefore drop from €799.99 to €749.99. The PSVR2 would also be entitled to a €50 discount, bringing it down to €399.99, while a selection of DualSense controllers will be offered at €54.99. Finally, PS Plus would also be affected by Days of Play 2025!
In fact, Days of Play 2024 also gave rise to promotions on Sony's subscription. We therefore expect this to be the case again for the 2025 edition. If the trend is the same as last year, in this case you could benefit from up to -30% on PS Plus. Given the price increases, this is an opportunity that will come at the right time!
