Rumors have been circulating for some time about Peter Parker's antagonist in Spider-Man 4. Several insiders had shared on social media the information that the Spider-Man would face off against a woman for the first time in the franchise. A rumor that gains credibility with the unofficial announcement of an actress for the role.
Spider-Man 4 actress found?
It seems that after facing the Vulture, Mysterio, and various threats from the Multiverse, the likeable Peter Parker will come face to face with not one but a villain. Rumors are circulating about the identity of the villain who could appear in the film: Queen Goblin, the mercenary Silver Sable, Lady Octopus, Misery, Carnage Queen, or even a female variant of another antagonist. According to a new rumor from TheInSneider, the studios have found the actress to play the said Spider-Man adversary, and it would be Sarah Snook. At 37, the Australian actress is known for her role as Siobhan "Shiv" Roy in the series Succession, for which she won two Golden Globes and the Emmy Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama in 2024.
Which villain for Sarah Snook?
Since Sarah Snook has a similar physique to Sadie Sink, the actress from Stranger Things who officially joined the cast of Spider-Man 4 in March, the two actresses could well play the same character at two different ages. The character in question could be Spider-Girl, with Sarah Snook playing an evil adult and/or alternate version. This futuristic version of a villainous Mayday Parker would be a plot twist, and an opportunity for several Spider-Men to work together to stop her. Indeed, it seems less likely that Sarah Snook would play Sadie Sink's mother, as the evil parent twist was already used in 2017's Homecoming.
