As the first Stellar Blade prepares for its PC port on June 11, 2025, its Korean studio Shift Up has quietly revealed its plans for the future in a recent financial report. By examining the file, we discover, although without too many surprises, that a Stellar Blade 2 is indeed part of its plans. And it even seems that this sequel will arrive sooner than expected.
Stellar Blade 2 is already somewhere in the stars
Released on April 26 of last year on PS5, the first opus did a lot of good for the PlayStation console. Its cyberpunk universe reminiscent of NieR Automata, its captivating gameplay and, of course, its main protagonist EVE, have enjoyed great critical and commercial success. Its ending also left the door open to a Stellar Blade 2, even if its studio wanted to be cautious about it. We know that Shift Up is also working on Project Witches, a title inspired by Honkai: Star Rail, which will be multiplatform, and planned for 2027.
In a financial report published on May 16, Shift Up revealed more of its future plans to its investors. On the 19th page of this report, we can see a rather intriguing table relating to Stellar Blade. There is indeed talk of a "platform expansion" and a "sequel." Regarding the platform expansion, we can expect the PC port of the first upcoming opus, and the other mention most likely refers to the famous Stellar Blade 2.
Better still, this table indicates that everything in it should arrive before 2027. It could therefore be that Stellar Blade 2 arrives during 2026, in principle first as a console exclusive on PS5. As Summer Game Fest 2025 approaches, it is also not completely out of the question that Shift Up will make a more concrete announcement for the general public. We're naturally keeping a close eye on all this, with stars in our eyes.
